ISLANDS OFF IONIA, Samos. Circa 408/4-380/66 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 23 mm, 15.15 g, 10 h), Rhodian standard, Leontiskos, moneyer. Facing scalp of a lion. Rev. ΛΕΟΝΤΙΣΚΟ[Σ] / ΣΑ Forepart of a bull to right, wearing ornamental collar; in field to left, olive branch; all within incuse square. Barron 153 (A77/P147). McClean 8408 (same obverse die). SNG Berry 1106 (same dies). A bold and attractive piece. Slightly granular and with a faint scratch on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
